DAY 1

Your holiday begins as you board our Royal Class coach at your chosen pickup point. Relax in comfort as we journey south, with a welcome coffee on arrival at the magnificent Belvoir Castle. Enjoy a fascinating 1½ hour guided tour of the Duke of Rutland’s extensive art collection, discovering masterpieces and the intriguing stories behind them. After a light lunch, take time to explore the castle’s splendid gardens at your leisure. Later in the afternoon, we continue to historic Stamford for a guided walk highlighting locations featured in film and television. Settle into our handpicked Delta by Marriott Hotel, Huntingdon, before joining fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we head to beautiful Cambridge for a guided tour of the city and a special visit to one of its renowned colleges. Delve into artistry and history on a highlights tour of the Fitzwilliam Museum, with time to browse at your own pace. Return to the hotel for another delicious dinner.

DAY 3

Following breakfast, enjoy a relaxing cruise aboard the Rutland Belle, taking in the scenic beauty of Rutland Water and a guided visit to the iconic Normanton Church. In the afternoon, we visit Barnsdale, the late Geoff Hamilton’s celebrated garden, with an exclusive guided tour by either Nick Hamilton (son) or John, the head gardener. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 4

Enjoy your final breakfast before a day at Burghley House, beginning with a private tour of the stately home and an exclusive visit to the Textile Conservation Studio. After a delightful high tea on our homeward journey, arrive back at your original pickup point in the early evening, filled with memories of your Cambridgeshire adventure.
