Cheese and wine anybody? Our Tastes of South Wales Tour takes you through beautiful countryside whilst discovering the flavours and tastes of local artisan food and drink producers. You’ll visit the Blaenafon Cheddar Company who mature cheese in disused coal mines. Then there’s Glyndwr Vineyard – Wales’s oldest winery, and beautiful Llanover Garden for delicious tea and cake

• Cowbridge and The Physic Garden: Wander the charming town of Cowbridge, where you’ll discover the calming beauty of The Physic Garden. A sanctuary of herbal wonders and scenic blooms, it’s a peaceful interlude that nurtures the soul.

• Llanover Garden Tour with Tea and Cake: At Llanover, the gardens are as welcoming as a warm embrace. Join us for a tranquil tour, followed by a slice of cake and a comforting cup of tea – the perfect way to wile away an afternoon.

Tour Highlights Blaenafon Cheddar Glyndwr Vineyard Physic Garden Tour Llanover Garden Dinners, Breakfasts and High Tea on homeward journey

 

 

The family run Blaenafon Cheddar Company.  Their award-winning cheese is matured 300 feet below ground in coal mines of the Brecon Beacons, giving their cheeses a unique, distinctive flavour.  We enjoy a talk & tasting.  Afterwards, we travel the short distance to Abergavenny, where you can explore independent shops and a famed market hall where traders will be displaying produce and crafts from the region. 

 

Later, we have a guided tour of Llanover Garden followed by tea,coffee & cake.

 

The market town of Cowbridge, where streets are lined with little independent shops and cosy cafes.  Whilst here, we can visit the Physic Garden to learn about the great collection of medicinal plants. 

 

 

 

At Glyndwr Vineyard, Wales’s oldest winery, enjoy a guided tour, gaining a detailed overview of the wine making process.  Meet the resident llamas before our wine tasting, accompanied by a platter of local foods.
