Scotland Christmas Celidh

Scotland Christmas Celidh

A super new Celidh Christmas weekend tour including a search for Nessy on Loch Ness, visit the Loch Ness Centre and take a spectacular rail journey to Mallaig on the famous West Highland railway

Join on this action packed Christmas Celidh holiday for 4 days, staying at the popular Ben Nevis Hotel in Fort William

West Highland Railway Line. Considered by many to be the most scenic rail journey in the world, we travel on the West Highland Line to Mallaig over the Glenfinnan Viaduct – used in the Harry Potter films for the Hogwarts Express.

From Fort William, you’ll trace the iconic curve of the Glenfinnan Viaduct, probably the most famous piece of rail track in the world after being used by the Harry Potter films as part of the route to Hogwarts. The route to Mallaig takes you past Lochs Eilt, Ailort and Nan Uamh – all starkly beautiful – before arriving at Morar’s sandy shores, yet another cinematic location, this time Local Hero. The final stretch into Mallaig brings glimpses of Skye, which is just a short ferry trip from the port.

Loch Ness Legend

In this location, at the old Drumnadrochit Hotel, Mrs Aldie MacKay reported seeing a 'whale-like fish' or 'water beast' in the waters of Loch Ness. Her sighting sparked the birth of a monster media frenzy and created a global legend.

Are you ready to uncover the truth about one of the world’s most famous legends?

Walk through 500 million years of history. Delve deeper into ancient Scottish myths, legends and scientific research. Uncover the mysteries of the loch and become part of the story in this unique tour.

Our unique 1-hour immersive experience allows you to become part of the legend and unearth real stories about Loch Ness along the way. Take a walk through 500 million years of history to explore the myths of the loch, delve deep below the surface of its waters to uncover hidden secrets, discover real objects and artefacts throughout the immersive journey and look into scientific research inspired by sightings of the Loch Ness Monster.

Cruise Loch Ness

Departing from Fort Augustus at the southern end of Loch Ness, you’ll soon be treated to the breath-taking vista of Loch Ness in all its natural wonder. The custom built vessels are the perfect way to experience the sights, wildlife and history of the famous loch.

Sit back with a drink, as we cruise past Cherry Island, the loch’s only island and spoil you with a loch-side view of the striking Fort Augustus Abbey.

For those curious about what’s beneath the deep waters of Loch Ness, our top of the range Sonar equipment beams live images. The best tour guides on the loch will explain it all, in detail - the only way they know how.
