It is renowned for its seasonal displays of azaleas, blue poppies and rhododendrons. We join a tour with a Garden Guide who will point out botanical treasures and share tales of intrepid Scottish explorers. Enjoy the delights of a traditional Scottish afternoon tea here.

  • Glenkinchie Whisky Tour

      -  Come and visit our picturesque distillery and experience a real taste of Scotland. Your visit begins in our unique exhibition on the original Malting Floors, home to the renowned model distillery. You will then be met by your guide and led through the distillery production area, learning how we make our 'water of life'. To finish your tour, you are welcomed into our bar for a complimentary tasting of Glenkinchie Single Malt whisky

  • The Great Polish Map of Scotland

    was built in the 1970s and was the brainchild of Krakow-born Jan Tomasik a sergeant in the 1st (Polish) Armoured Division, who had been stationed in Galashiels and had married a Scottish nurse in 1942 after being treated in the town’s Peel Hospital for the effects of a wound.
