Dating back long before the last Ice Age, our magnificent Island has been shaped through time by pioneers, merchants and warriors who made the Isle of Man their home. Strking ancient monuments, archaeological sites and historic buildings are dotted throughout the landscape, making the Isle of Man a fabulous place to explore and enjoy.

Day one

Travel to Heysham, Lancashire for an early afternoon crossing to Douglas (crossing time 3 1/2 hours). The onward drive to the hotel is just a few minutes.

Day Two

Morning free in Douglas. Travel during the afternoon to the pleasant little town of Peel on the west of the island with an impressive castle and harbour.

Day Three

Head north to Laxey to visit "Lady Isabella" the worlds largest working waterwheel. We also include a ride on the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the island's highest point at 2036 feet. Continue afterwards to Ramsey, the main town in the north of the Island.

Day Four

First to Castletown, a historic twon and the ancient capital of the Island with a beautifully preserved castle. Afterwards travel along the island's south coast to Cregneash Village Folk Museum and nearby the pretty bay of Port Erin. Also visit the Ice Cream factory.

Day five

Morning crossing to Heysham. We travel homeward stopping en route for high tea.
